Demonstration for Peace in Hungary
An individual initiative on occasion of the beginning of World War one (28 July) has given place to a meeting for Peace in front of the tomb of the unknown soldier in Heroes Square of Budapest on Monday night. Participants of 12 civic and extra parliamentary political organisations have participated with the common slogan Peace for the World! Starting from the catastrofical consequences on human life, the unjust Versailles Peace Treaties and the imperialistic division of the World, giving start to the up to now existing new political and ethnical conflicts, the ideologicaly and politicaly very different and heterogene organisations have urged peaceful political solution in Ukraine and the Middle East. In his speach Endre Simó has called the attention to the fact, that Russia was the only state defining „imperialistic diktat” the Versailles Treaty, and as part of it the Trianon Treaty regarding Hungary. Nobody knows better than Hungarians what does mean the loss of citizenship and of rights for 5 million of Hungarians cut off Hungary. We have a strong minority of hungarians living in the Sub-Carpathian Region of Ukraine wanting autonomy and fighting for the free use of his mother language. We have a community of interets in this with the Russian minority of Ukraine fighting for the same Rights of Freedom. The just Peace in Ukraine and in the Middle East must be based on the Freedom of the Peoples. It means a federativ State reorganisation granting equal political rights in Ukraine, and the assuring of an independent own country to the Palestinian People, in peaceful living together with Israel. Simó has called War Crime the massacre of civilians by the ukraine military in Eastern Ukraine and by the israelian military in Gaza. He has assured the Solidarity of the Hungarian Social Forum to the Israelians who have demonstrated in Tel Aviv against the Netanjahu government and the massive killing of palestinians, amongst them many children. „The Peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved nor with Hammas, or with Netenjahus. There is no need nor of antisemitic terrorism or zionistic State terrorism. There is need of policies starting from the regognising of the Rights of Freedom of the Peoples and the meeting on the basis of the rights of equality” – he told.+++
